Website Design

I have designed websites for a diverse collection of individuals and organizations that include commercial, educational, and non-profit entities. Below, I've described a few of the organizations and individuals with whom I've engaged in design work.

I specialize in high-quality bandwidth-conscious site design and application development. If you're interested in website design services for yourself, a friend, or an organization, please send me an email at eckertd@gmail.com with a short description of what you'd like to see in your website.

2SL Design Build, Inc.

2SL Design Build, Inc.

2SL Design Build is an architecture firm that provides complete construction and renovation services to the Raleigh metropolitan area. My design provides 2SL with an attractive addition to its marketing plan.

Using the 2SL website, clients can tour previous projects and learn about 2SL before engaging its services. Additionally, I implemented a Google Groups interface that 2SL uses to communicate with its clients.

Elizabeth Langston

Elizabeth Langston

Elizabeth Langston is a writer of Young Adult Fiction in North Carolina, represented by the Marsal Lyon Literary Agency. My website design provides Elizabeth with a clean, professional online presence.

This design incorporates whitespace and crisp graphical elements to emphasize the delivery of content. Since this website has few pages, a balance of design and content avoids "drowning out" the message with an overpowering display.

The Enloe High School chapter of Kiwanis International's Key Club volunteers thousands of hours of community service to the Raleigh, North Carolina, metropolitan area.

My design and software for the Enloe Key Club website allowed club members and officers easy usability and high-performance functionality to conveniently track and manage service projects and hours online.

This design served the Key Club well for two years and later evolved into the HostedGroups Management Service.

North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities

North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities

The North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities (NCASA) is a non-profit association of schools that seeks to improve the experience of North Carolina students through scholastic competition.

I created a simple, clean, and scalable design for the NCASA that grew from originally only 3 pages to a moderate-sized website. The website uses common design elements and styles to unify content and help users easily locate information.

William G. Enloe High School

Enloe High School is a prestigious public secondary school in Raleigh, North Carolina. It excels in all areas of arts, sciences, and academia, ranking consistently among the top 100 American high schools.

Beginning in 2003, I propelled Enloe's huge, disorganized website into a modern revision of glamor and style. The new website uses common design elements and styles to dramatically simplify and unify the appearance of all website documents and sections.
