Exemplary Teacher

Now an Enloe alumnus, I was a senior in Robert Escamilla's last AP European History course. Escamilla's position and influence as a faculty member were highly beneficial. His distinctly independent style provided students with the tools and abilities necessary to succeed in current and future educational pursuits.

Escamilla's comprehension of the material for which he was a mentor and guide was obvious during class discussions. He encouraged advanced pursuit of topics by students through discussions spurred by curriculum material. He delved beyond the perspectives of textbook editors to inspire superior interest and comprehension in his students, and he advocated the importance of independent ability and personal ambition -- valuable lessons that continue to manifest their importance in my collegiate pursuits.

Escamilla's dismissal from the faculty of Enloe High School is an abomination of the educational ideals and standards Enloe students past and present expect and aspire to achieve. His unique teaching style promoted an advanced approach to education that is prized beyond graduation day.
